The study confirms that primary healthcare could be a key area for the
detection of gender-based violence. However, many victims do not go to
health services after suffering an episode of violence, which makes it
difficult to identify numerous cases.
‘Shaping the Future: Social Protection and Support Systems for an Aging

Are male and female judges equally likely to grant restraining orders in
cases of gender-based violence? According to this study, gender alone is
not a determining factor but it is a key factor, together with experience
and caseload.
Racism and discrimination cause a deterioration of well-being and increase
the risk of social isolation of racialized migrants. This study shows that
social mentoring does not increase well-being in general, but acts as a
protective factor: it prevents discrimination from translating into greater
loneliness and contributes to maintaining social bonds of inclusion.
This study provides empirical data on social inclusion policies in Spain,
showing significant impacts on employment, social support, education,
digital skills and housing. The outcomes reinforce the importance of
designing evidence-based public policies.
